Overview

The Town of Henrietta, encompassing over 35 square miles, is a diverse area offering a many environments. Notorious for its large, expansive shopping area; it's important to remember that Henrietta also features wonderful nature parks, golf courses, and a variety of neighborhoods. There are rural, agricultural settings, crowded shopping districts, corporate parks, quiet neighborhoods, and upscale housing developments where you'll find large modern homes with expansive, manicured yards.


Who Lives Here

There are a number of housing options in the Town of Henrietta. Some neighborhoods feature modest homes, clustered close together; others offer expansive properties and upscale houses, built on former farmland. Apartments and townhouses are options here as well. There are families and singles residing here; along with students from the Rochester Institute of Technology and the National Technical Institute for the Deaf.


Essentials

The Dome Center and Monroe County Fairgrounds host a number of large-scale events every year. There are superstores and malls, two Wegmans stores, and probably, literally, anything your heart desires in terms of a shopping experience.



Recreation & Entertainment

Henrietta is home to nearly every chain restaurant imaginable, most located along West Henrietta Road and Jefferson. It also offers family-owned establishments that have been in operation for generations and a number of clubs and pubs that provide live entertainment. There are bowing alleys, golf clubs, miniature golf and other leisure activities.



Transportation & Traffic

Route 90 (NYS Thruway) and I-390 run through Henrietta. Main streets include Jefferson, Calkins, E. & W. Henrietta, Pinnacle, and Lehigh Station roads. Traffic on most main arteries in Henrietta is often heavy.



Pros & Cons

Henrietta has enormous convenience to offer its residents. There is no need to travel beyond the town limits for much of anything. Traffic tie-ups can be of some concern, particularly around the business district.
