Recreation & Entertainment With this being primarily a rural community, most of the entertainment options are of the outdoor variety. For starters, the town’s location on the shoreline of Lake Erie attracts boaters, campers and fishermen and –women. The Seaway Trail, which hugs the shoreline along Route 5, you’ll find wineries, a golf course, restaurants and more. Ripley Beach is north of the hamlet of Forsyth. Double DAB Riding Stables, which offers horseback riding, is on Welch Hill Road in Ripley. Neighboring Chautauqua has lots of things to see and do, starting with the Chautauqua Institution. To the west is the Erie, Pa., which has professional sports, a casino, an indoor waterpark popular with kids, and Presque Isle State Park, among other attractions. |
